I see we are gettin' on the "BLOG TRAIN"
I was so excited to type in our website today only to find two new entries! YEAH! I was hoping that is wasn't going to be an Erica blog-since I do already have one of those! I loved reading Richard and Joni's entries and so wish that Marci's letter was apart of the "blog train". I don't know if any of you noticed, but you can comment on people's entries. I commented on Richard's earlier today...all that you have to do is go to the bottom of their post and it will say something like 0 comments, or have a number in the 0 part. Click on that and it will come up and you can read people's comments and write you own and publish it. That is really cool do to also-well that is your blog tutorial for the week! :) Well this week has been busy, all with its ups and downs. Honestly, now as I sit here this whole week is a blur and I can't remember if I did things this week or last week or when everything happened. I swear to you, that my mind is going, as well as so many other things! Well...our highlights for the week: Tuesday was a blast. Besides Claire's 18 month check-up (complete with shots), we spent the day with our friends from Notre Dame! That is a great thing about living down this way is that I have two of my closest friends right around the corner from South Bend! So, every Tuesday we plan an activity and get together for "a few hours" which of course turns out to be 95% of the day. So this week, I put the kids in the car and drove out to Mesa and went to Mother Nature's Farm Pumpkin Patch. It was a blast. The kids had such a great time! We did hay rides, took lots of pictures (300 almost), they had a hay trampoline/pit, we picked our own pumpkins and decorated them, we did the traditional "bounce house" and topped it off with lunch at Cafe Rio which happened to be convieniently next door!!!! Oh how we enjoyed ourselves! My ND friend Amy said that her friend used to work at Cafe Rio and has the recipe for the pork and Kelly (the other friend) has a mild sauce that rivals theirs! So, I will pass those along. For lunch we went back to Kelly's house and with 7 kids between the three of us, it was utter chaos and we wouldn't have wanted anything less! It was a serious party! The rest of the week was filled with walks to the park (which happens to be just down the street...AWESOME), the oh so famous library because it is still 95 degrees here (I forget that it is winter at other places around the globe), preparing for the ward Halloween party, making decorations, teaching Porter a little bit more how to read, and we topped it off with a great ward Halloween party (trunk or treat, chili cook-off and carnival games!). We had a great week and hope that all is well with all of you! I haven't downloaded my pics from Halloween yet, but I'll post those in the next few days. Enjoy this picture of Porter playing superman and seriously almost ending up in the emergency room! Boys will be boys! Love you, Erica
Hi my family!!!!!!
Hi everyone!!!!
Erica way to go on this blog idea. I am excited to hear from everyone. Well everything is basically the same here in P-town. We have started rehearsing Nutcracker, which I am sure everyone is happy to hear that. I know everyone deep down inside would really miss it if they weren't able to go during the Christmas season, but LUCKILY you have me....... Also we are doing a ballet called La Coquette, which means the flirt in french. Yes, I actually get to play the part of the flirt which I am naturally so good at. Just kidding, it is a little bit of a stretch for me but maybe it is teaching me something hahahaha!!! Anyways, school is going good. I am taking Anatomy which is a beast but other than that all is good. I miss you all so much. I am excited to see some of you at thanksgiving, but no worries Tan Christmas is getting really close YAY!!! Oh just wanted to let you know that Asher Larsen is engaged. They haven't set a date, but that is all I know about the particulars. Other than that life is the same. Again I miss you all so so much. I am excited to see you soon. Love you, Joni

Hello Stinks!!!!
Well i just have to say that this is pretty much the best idea ive been associated with for a long time! Good thinking Erica! Anyway things are good here in SpringTown. Same old same old really, I just started my new job, framing houses, and i must admit that it is pretty enjoyable. i get to build cool contraptions all day long its a dream come true. Shelane is still up to the same old stuff at the Macaroni Grill which kind of sucks because just as i come home she bounces to work so needless to say we are looking for alternatives. I went deer hunting this last week and had quite the adventure. Dave, Morgan, and myself saddle the horses early and headed up the steepest trail we have up holden. my horse soon wussed out, because all they do is sit at the farm and get fat, so i had to proceed up the mountain on my own two feet. at the top i spotted a decent buck that i tried to get Morgan a shot at but he was still half asleep on his horse so by the time he was ready to shoot the deer was out of town. i walked everywhere only to see a few small bucks and a bull elk i could have jumped on it was so close but good times none the less. about eleven oclock dave and morgan had had enough so they went home and i decided to make the 3 mile hike across the mountain top to join up with phil and eric so i could keep hunting. One oclock came around and we finally met up just in time for the storm to hit and an absolute white out dropped on us. so we just found a little grove of trees and built a sweet fire until it lifted out again. anyway we hiked a bunch more only to find small bucks again and then made the 2 mile hike back to the campground where uncle ken picked us up. i just jumped in my truck and drove back to springville and when i got out to walk in the house my legs and knees hurt so bad i thought i had crippled myself! but im back to business as usual and pumped to head to South Dakota, Roooster!!! We love you all and thanks for all the help and support over the past few months during the wedding stuff, we really appreciate it. Peace.

The Very First Post!
Well family, it is up and running, but still in the beginning stages. I still need to play around with the titles, fonts, colors and backgrounds, but this is it. This is a place where we can post things that we do each week-it will just be a lot easier to keep track of everyone and everything we are all involved in since we are so spread out around the country. Please try and post atleast once a week with events and pictures if possible! We miss you all and hope that this will be a fun thing for us all to do together!
Love,
Erica
